The same thing we put on every board before it ships.
Board Cream is made in small batches with three ingredients: food-grade mineral oil, vitamin E, and beeswax — at a higher beeswax ratio than commercial board conditioners. It goes on smooth, soaks in fast, and leaves a finish that actually protects the wood rather than just coating it.
We started making it because nothing available met the standard we hold every board to. If we condition every board before it leaves the shop, we need a product that does it right. This is that product.
How to Use
Wipe a thin layer across a clean, dry board. Let it sit for 15–20 minutes, then buff off the excess with a clean cloth. Repeat every 3–4 weeks, or whenever the wood starts to look dry or dull. End grain boards may absorb more on the first application — a second coat right after is normal.
What's in It
- Food-grade mineral oil
- Vitamin E
- Beeswax — higher concentration than standard commercial conditioners
All three are food-safe. Nothing else.
What It Comes In
8 oz. Black steel jar with a laser-engraved logo.
FAQ
How often should I condition my board?
Every 3–4 weeks under regular use, or whenever the wood starts to look dry. New boards or boards coming out of storage may benefit from two applications back to back.
Is this food-safe?
Yes. All three ingredients are food-grade and safe for surfaces that contact food.
Will this work on teak?
Yes. Board Cream works on any hardwood — teak, maple, walnut. Teak's natural oils mean it needs conditioning less often than other woods, but Board Cream will keep the grain looking its best.
