Gift Box and Note Card

Right now your board ships the way a board should ship. Wrapped to survive the trip, packed so nothing moves, and perfectly presentable when you open it.

It is not, however, a wrapped gift. You still have to go find paper.

This is the version where you do not.

What actually changes

• The board is wrapped in kraft paper and set inside a rigid gift box, not a shipping carton
• A hang tag goes in with it, with the story of the board and how to look after it
• A printed note card on heavy card stock, set in our own typeface, with your message on it word for word
• The whole box goes inside a plain outer mailer, so the gift box arrives clean and unscuffed rather than covered in shipping labels
• No invoice, no packing slip, no prices anywhere in the package

Lift the lid and it is done. Nothing to unwrap and re-wrap, nothing to hide before you hand it over.

About the card

Type your message at checkout and I set it exactly as you wrote it. Same words, same order, same spelling. I do not edit it and I do not add anything to it.

It is printed rather than handwritten on purpose. Your words deserve to be read cleanly, and nobody should have to squint at my handwriting to get through a message that matters to them. Up to about thirty five words fits comfortably.

Sending it straight to someone

Put their address in as the shipping address and add this to your order. The package arrives with no invoice, no prices, and your card already inside. As far as the person opening it is concerned, it came from you.

This is the whole reason the upgrade exists. A board arriving at a stranger's door in a shipping mailer is a delivery. The same board arriving in a gift box with a card is a gift.

Questions

Do I need this for the board to look good?
No. Every board leaves here conditioned, carefully packed, and worth opening. This is about the board arriving already wrapped, with a card, ready to hand over.

Which boards can I add it to?
The 11 by 14 personalized boards. The gift box is sized for them. If you want a larger board or a butcher block boxed as a gift, message me before you order and I will tell you what is possible.

Can I add it after I have ordered?
Email me the same day and I will usually catch it. Once a board is packed it is a different conversation, so it is better to add it now.

What can the card say?
Anything you want, up to about thirty five words. Birthdays, weddings, congratulations, a verse, an inside joke. I have printed all of them.

Is the box reusable?
Yes, and most people keep it. That is part of why it is a box and not paper.
