The Charmer is our personalized cutting board, our handmade Wood Butter, and our gift box with a printed note card, together as one set. You choose the wood, the finish, and the engraving style, and type the name. We build it, engrave it, condition it, box it, and ship it ready to give.
What's included

The personalized board. Our 11 x 14 x 3/4 board in Black Walnut or Hard Maple, laser engraved with your name and optional date line. Engraving is included in the price.

NW Co. Wood Butter. The same conditioner we put on every board before it ships, handmade in small batches with mineral oil and beeswax, so the wood stays conditioned and the engraving stays sharp.

Our gift box and printed note card. The board nested on kraft crinkle paper in a rigid gift box, tied with twine, with your message printed on heavy card stock, word for word.
Why the set instead of the board on its own
You can add the Wood Butter and the gift box to any board yourself. Bought that way they come to five dollars more than this set. The Charmer exists because most people buying a gift do not want to assemble it out of three decisions. Pick the wood, pick the style, type the name, and the rest is handled.
Personalize your board
Serif — Classic and traditional. Best for last names, family names, and formal occasions.
Script — Flowing and personal. Best for first names, romantic phrases, and wedding gifts.
Monogram — A single ornate initial, framed. Enter your family name and we engrave from it. The most timeless of the three.
Choose your style above, then enter the name in the engraving field, with an optional date line beneath. The photos show exactly how each style looks on each wood.
Your board is engraved exactly as you type it. That includes the second line, so if you want EST. on the board, type it. If you want only a year or only a date, type only that. Please double-check spelling, names, and dates before ordering. What you enter is what we cut.

Black Walnut — Rich, dark, and striking. The first choice when the gift needs to make an impression.
Hard Maple — Light, clean, and classic. A neutral tone that fits any kitchen.
Sending it straight to someone
Put their address in as the shipping address. The package arrives with no invoice, no prices, and your card already inside. As far as the person opening it is concerned, it came from you.

Does this include the board, or is it an add-on?
It includes the board. The Charmer is the complete set: board, Wood Butter, and gift box with a printed note card. You do not need to order a board separately.
Which wood should I choose for a gift?
If you want the board to make a visual statement, choose walnut. If you want something that works in any kitchen, choose maple. When in doubt for gifting, walnut wins.
What can the note card say?
Anything you want, up to about thirty five words. It is printed rather than handwritten so your words read cleanly.
How long does it take?
Your set ships within 2 business days. If you have a specific deadline, note it at checkout and we will do everything we can to meet it.
What's your return policy on personalized orders?
Because each board is made to order, we cannot accept returns on personalized items, including boards engraved with text exactly as it was entered at purchase. Please double-check your spelling and dates before ordering. If there is a defect or an error on our end, we will make it right, no questions asked.
